Woodbridge 2, Irvine 1 (2 OT)--Ashkahn Moayedi scored from 30 yards two minutes into the second sudden-death overtime period for Woodbridge (11-0) in the other semifinal. Warrior Ryan Orosz scored in the first half. Richie Martinez had Irvine’s goal.

Woodbridge defeated Santa Ana, 1-0, in the quarterfinals when Mark Ohelman scored with eight minutes left.

El Toro 2, Laguna Beach 0--Senior forward Julian Gaitan scored five minutes into the game and teammate Nader Jazayeri, a junior midfielder, scored in the 70th minute in El Toro’s consolation victory.

In the Central Coast Classic:

Mater Dei 6, Laguna Hills 2--Chase Bastian and Lenny DeLorenzo each scored two goals for the Monarchs, who advanced to the championship game. In their quarterfinal game, the Monarchs (7-4-3) defeated Simi Valley Royal, 2-1.

In the Marina tournament:

Esperanza 0, Fountain Valley 0 (Esperanza advances on penalty kicks, 3-2)--Jason Weiner scored on Esperanza’s last penalty kick and Nate Fikse made a save to preserve the victory for the Aztecs (12-0-2), who play South Torrance in the final today. Esperanza earlier beat Palos Verdes Peninsula, 2-0, in the quarterfinals. Tony Ferrari scored two goals in that game.

South Torrance 2, Loara 1--Tony Cuellar scored in the 55th minute to tie the score, 1-1, but Loara couldn’t hang on in the semifinal game. The Saxons (5-4-1) earlier defeated Santa Barbara San Marcos, 2-1. Dardo Acuna and Cuellar scored to give Loara a 2-0 lead in that game.

San Clemente 6, Western 0--Garrett Plambeck and Adam Miederhoff each scored two goals and San Clemente advanced to the consolation final. Kris Winrich and Matt Wiechert each scored a goal for the Tritons (6-3-4). In the Ontario Christian tournament:

Orange Lutheran 1, Cerritos Valley Christian 0--Jon Talmage scored on a penalty kick in the 39th minute to lift Orange Lutheran (9-2-2) into today’s championship game.

In the Excalibur girls’ soccer tournament:

Capistrano Valley 8, El Cajon Valhalla 0--Chandra King scored three goals and Lindsay Greco had two goals and two assists for the top-ranked Cougars, who advanced to today’s 9:30 a.m. semifinal against Mission Viejo at Foothill High.

Mission Viejo 4, Woodbridge 2--Jen Theis, Ann Desmond, Kendall Billingsly and Stacey Mescher scored for the Diablos.

Alta Loma 1, Los Alamitos 1 (Alta Loma advances on penalty kicks, 4-3)--Alta Loma advanced to the semifinals to play West Hills Chaminade. The title game is scheduled for 2:10 p.m. today.

Esperanza 2, Rosary 1--Courtney Bylund scored two second-half goals as Esperanza (6-4-4) rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to win the consolation game.

In the Ocean View tournament:

Orange Lutheran 1, Canyon 1--Sheena Jacobs scored for Canyon and Rachel Gerling had Orange Lutheran’s goal.

In the San Gorgonio tournament:

Sunny Hills 4, San Gorgonio 1--Jill Wilson broke a 1-1 tie with a second-half goal, and Simi Phull and Kelly Glover also scored in the second half for Sunny Hills in the consolation game. The Lancers (7-1-3) lost a quarterfinal game earlier in the day, 3-1, to Etiwanda.
