Fraternity Will Ask for Reprieve Tonight

Share

A Cal State Fullerton fraternity that recently lost its permit to operate from a house on Teri Place will ask city officials tonight for another chance.

The City Council will hold a public hearing on the fraternity’s future at a 7:30 p.m. meeting.

Planning commissioners recently revoked Tau Kappa Epsilon’s permit after neighbors complained to police at least 25 times about rowdy parties at the house.

Teke, as the fraternity is known, appealed the commission’s decision, prompting the hearing before the City Council.

In other business, the City Council will consider approving two programs to provide housing for police officers in the city’s most crime-ridden areas.

The council will discuss the programs at its 4 p.m. session.

The two sessions will be at City Hall, 303 W. Commonwealth Ave.
