Will City Be Dyed in the Wool?
Want to see a herd of sheep charge down Fairview Road?
The Orange County Fair will hold a meeting Feb. 25 to see what residents think about the proposed July 17 sheep drive.
A flock of about 100 sheep would be herded by dogs down a short stretch of the street into the fairgrounds to promote the summertime county fair. The fair in 1994 held a similar procession of horses and dogs.
The sheep proposal requires City Hall approval.
The special meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Memorial Gardens Building, 88 Fair Drive. Suggested parking is through Gate 5 on Arlington Avenue.
