School Officials to Discuss Impact of State Budget
Details of Gov. Pete Wilson’s proposed 1998-99 budget and how it affects local schools will be discussed Tuesday at the Fountain Valley School District Board of Trustees meeting.
Paul Burkart, assistant superintendent of business and administration, will speak about the educational portions of the governor’s spending plan. More than 55% of general tax revenue taken in by the state will go to educational programs in the $73.8-billion budget.
