Woman Dies After Being Struck by Car
ORANGE —
A pedestrian was hit by a car and killed Saturday night while crossing a street, police said.
Police declined to release the victim’s name until her family was notified.
About 6 p.m., the victim was crossing the 300 block of East Taft Avenue when she was struck by a car, said Orange Police Sgt. Kevin Roberts.
She was rushed to St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, where she died of her injuries, Roberts said.
The driver, who remained at the scene, was not injured, he said. The accident remains under investigation.
