Meetings to Focus on Bond Issue
Officials from the Conejo Valley Unified School District invite the community to a series of information sessions to learn what a $97-million bond would pay for.
Called Measure V, the bond would go toward modernizing the district’s aging campuses, repairing underground pipes, and wiring schools for the Internet, among some 900 other proposals, according to district officials.
The Conejo Valley district put the same bond on a ballot in November, but it failed to pass with the necessary two-thirds majority by about two percentage points.
Measure V will be decided in a special election April 14.
A detailed list outlining each of the district’s projects also will be available at the district office for viewing by Thursday.
The information sessions, which will include slide presentations on the intended repairs and additions, will be held:
March 2 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the district office board room, 1400 Janss Road.
March 3 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the district office board room.
March 4 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Los Cerritos Middle School, 2100 Avenida de las Flores.
March 9 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Westlake High School, 100 N. Lakeview Canyon Road.
March 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Sequoia Middle School, 2855 Borchard Road.
