Two police officers got a jolt early Sunday when a vehicle rammed into their parked patrol car as they sat inside, authorities said.

Oxnard Police Officers Andrew Salinas and Robert Cobos were in their black and white vehicle in an alley in the 900 block of South Oxnard Boulevard when they were hit about 12:30 a.m., said Oxnard Police Sgt. Robert Thomas.

Francisco Silva, 26, of Oxnard was driving the car that struck the officers’ vehicle from behind. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, Thomas said.
