Celebrity Auction to Benefit Kids’ Transplant Fund

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis and director Nick Cassavetes are honorary co-chairs of the World Children’s Transplant Fund’s “Hearts of Gold” celebrity date auction, to be held Wednesday at Duet Restaurant, 1056 Westwood Blvd., Westwood.

The cause is a personal one for Cassavetes: His 9-year-old daughter, Sascha, is currently awaiting a heart donation.

Celebrities scheduled to be auctioned for a one-time date include soap opera stars Matthew Ashford, Kate Linder and Austin Peck and personalities including Daisy Fuentes, Fabio, Anthony Michael Hall, Nicole Tom and brothers Joey, Matthew and Andrew Lawrence.

Comedian Judy Tenuta will host the 6 p.m. event.
