Man Agrees to Remove Huge Skull From Porch
Rather than face grim consequences, Stacey Parker will heed a city warning and take down a huge skull on his front porch by tonight.
Parker said a couple of friends will help him dismantle the fiberglass skull he made at his Harbor Boulevard home in October as an expression of his religious beliefs. Jesus Christ was crucified at the “Place of the Skull,” he said.
Last week, city code enforcement officials deemed the 9-by-7-foot skull a public nuisance and ordered Parker to remove it or face misdemeanor charges. Parker was given a reprieve when officials gave him a few extra days--until today--to comply.
Parker said he is working to persuade city officials to let him resurrect the skull but declined to give details.
