Gas Station Robbery Suspects Arrested
Ventura County sheriff’s officials have arrested two men who allegedly robbed a Thousand Oaks gas station at gunpoint over the weekend.
William Selinski, 19, and Shaun Polak, 18, both of Newbury Park, allegedly parked their truck in a residential area behind the gas station, located on Wendy Drive. Authorities say Polak acted as lookout while Selinski, wearing a stocking mask and armed with a handgun, took cash and cigarettes from the attendant at about 1:55 p.m.
When the pair ran from the store, the attendant called police, deputies said. A short while later, a deputy stopped the two men’s vehicle for a traffic violation and found a gun, money and cigarettes, authorities said.
The men were arrested on suspicion of robbery and were taken to Ventura County Jail. Selinski was released on $50,000 bail Monday afternoon. Polak remains in jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
