No. 7 Mater Dei 66, Trabuco Hills 46--Cassie Pappas scored 12 points for the Monarchs (13-12, 6-3).

In the Academy League:

Connelly 45, Fairmont 29--Connelly, the county’s only undefeated team, clinched the league title by making 16 second-half free throws to break a 17-17 tie. Ruth Lazzari led the Koalas (17-0, 9-0) with 17 points and 24 rebounds.

In the Century League:

El Modena 43, Canyon 41--Valerie Matweeff (20 points, 13 rebounds) tied the score with 21 seconds left, and Cristina Hernandez’s two free throws with seven seconds remaining provided an upset for El Modena (12-8, 5-4). Canyon is 22-3, 7-2.

Villa Park 57, Foothill 49--Missy Bynon had 15 points and 11 assists as Villa Park (17-5, 8-1) took over first place. Chavaughn Brown (21 points, 18 rebounds) led Foothill (9-16, 3-6).

In the Empire League:

No. 6 El Dorado 55, Century 41--Yvette deBruijn, five of five from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter, helped El Dorado win its third league title in four years. DeBruijn and Stephanie Patten scored 15 apiece. Aprile Powell scored 16 points for Century (16-9, 6-3).

In the Garden Grove League:

Pacifica 52, Santiago 43--Jaymee Pendergast scored 26 for league champion Pacifica (18-6, 11-0).

Garden Grove 46, La Quinta 34--Katie Werdel had 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists as Garden Grove (16-10, 8-3) clinched second place.

Los Amigos 27, Rancho Alamitos 18--Maria Elias scored 10 for Los Amigos (9-12, 6-5), which has won nine of its last 15 after losing 28 in a row the last two years.

In the Golden West League:

Tustin 50, Rosary 49--Jacky Williams made a seven-foot jumper with five seconds to play for Tustin (19-4, 8-1). Brook Brown had 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Tillers (19-4, 8-1), who host Westminster Thursday for chance to share the league title. Maggie Barnett had 18 for Rosary (14-11, 5-4).

In the Olympic League:

Brethren Christian 39, Calvary Chapel 36--Cindy Oparah (22 points, 14 rebounds) had two field goals in the final seconds for Brethren Christian (15-9, 6-3). Calvary Chapel (20-5, 7-2) missed a chance to clinch the league title, and play at Cerritos Valley Christian, the co-leader, on Friday.

In the Orange League:

Valencia 47, Magnolia 40--Sara Ludwig made the final six points of the game in the last 90 seconds--all free throws--as Valencia (11-14, 6-3) clinched second. Magnolia is 9-14, 2-7.

In the Pacific Coast league:

Aliso Niguel 61, University 39--The Wolverines (14-10, 8-1) moved into first place as four players scored in double figures, including Kristin Moorhouse (13 points, 21 rebounds).

Laguna Hills 33, Costa Mesa 32--Costa Mesa (11-13, 7-2) missed the front end of a one-and-one free throw with one second left and dropped to second place. Shannon Owens led Laguna Hills (6-15, 4-5) with 10 points and eight rebounds.

In the Sea View League:

No. 8 El Toro 74, Irvine 41--El Toro (23-2, 9-0) clinched the league title as Giuliana Mendiola scored 15 and Giocond Mendiola scored 14 with eight steals.

Newport Harbor 35, Woodbridge 32--Emily Glassic gave Newport Harbor a three-point lead and with four seconds remaining, Woodbridge (13-12, 4-5) failed to get off a shot.
