10K/5K Run, Parade of Walkers Set for Feb. 21
Runners, walkers and joggers will meet at the starting line Feb. 21 for the 18th Los Alamitos 10K/5K Run and 5K Parade of Walkers.
“It’s one of the premiere races,” Councilwoman Marilynn M. Poe said. “A lot of the runners that are going to run in the L.A. Marathon use this one as a warm-up.”
A portion of race proceeds will benefit the Los Alamitos Unified School District.
The event begins at the Los Alamitos Community Center, 10911 Oak St. Race times are 8 a.m. for the 5K, 8:05 a.m. for walkers and 8:45 a.m. for the 10K and 9 a.m. for the kids run. Information: (562) 430-1073.
