Officials to Begin Work on General Plan
What will the city look like in the next decade?
That will be the topic of a meeting Wednesday as city officials begin work on a planning document that will guide growth and development in La Palma.
The general plan meeting will be from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the La Palma Community Center, 7821 Walker St.
The city last updated its general plan in 1992.
“We’re trying to establish a vision for the city and getting input from residents is very important,” said Joan Hoesterey, a city planner.
A general plan lays the foundation for decision-making by city officials concerning land uses, public services and the physical character of the community.
