Rogers Practices but May Not Play

Forward Rodney Rogers, not expected to play tonight because of an ankle sprain suffered Friday, returned to practice Wednesday.

That impressed Coach Bill Fitch, but not enough to pencil Rogers into tonight’s lineup against the Miami Heat.

“He wants to play if it is at all possible,” Fitch said, “but I’m not going to play him if he is not totally healed. I want him to be right, or something like that won’t get better.”

Rogers is the club’s leading scorer with a 15.3 average.
