Golf Course Facilities Get Preliminary OK

Share

A proposal to build a clubhouse and maintenance facility on a future golf course at the southern end of town has received preliminary City Council approval.

The golf course is part of a development plan that includes construction of more than 400 of La Habra’s most expensive homes.

“This right here is definitely a benefit and I’m really looking forward to it,” Councilman Juan M. Garcia said about the 18-hole golf course and its clubhouse.

The clubhouse will include a banquet facility, shop, kitchen, snack bar and locker area and will have a Spanish-mission architectural style.

Officials from PLC, a planning company based in Newport Beach that is buying the golf course, said they plan to open by the end of the year.

The City Council is expected to give the plan final approval at a meeting next month.
