The one woman to claim she was forced into having sex with the Army’s former top enlisted man testified Friday that she never wanted anyone to know.

“I vowed I’d go to my grave with this,” Sgt. Christine Roy, 25, said at the sexual-misconduct court-martial of Sgt. Maj. Gene C. McKinney, 47. “I didn’t want to remember it, I didn’t want to dwell on it, I just wanted to forget about it and move on,” she said.

Roy is the last of McKinney’s six female accusers to testify. They all testified at an eight-week preliminary hearing last summer, alleging misconduct between 1994 and 1997.

Roy said McKinney grabbed her breast and kissed her during a visit to his quarters in October 1996.

She said she tried to push him away, saying, “No, I don’t want to do this” but he paid no heed. She said she did not resist again when he exposed himself and forced himself on her. She was nearly eight months’ pregnant at the time.

“I just kind of went along with it. I just did what he was leading me to do,” she said.

McKinney faces 19 criminal counts, including assault and obstruction of justice. He has pleaded not guilty, and his lawyers claim that the six women made up their stories for personal gain or revenge.

McKinney could be sentenced to 55 1/2 years in prison if convicted of all counts.
