Movies

Attention Coen-philes: Two of the filmmaking duo’s best films, “Miller’s Crossing” and “Fargo,” will share the screen at the New Beverly Revival House. “Miller’s Crossing,” the brothers’ 1990 film about Jazz Age gangsters, is something of a homage to Dashiell Hammett, James M. Cain and Raymond Chandler. Last year’s “Fargo,” a darkly comic farce about a botched kidnapping, for which Joel and Ethan picked up the best original screenplay Oscar, is pure Coen.

* “Fargo” and “Miller’s Crossing,” New Beverly Revival House, 7165 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles. Sunday-Tuesday. $2.50-$5. (213) 938-4038.

FREEBIE: Choirs perform “Amahl and the Night Visitors,” All-Saints Church in Pasadena, 5 p.m. (626) 583-2725.
