Ken Olfson; TV Actor, Counseling Center Official

Ken Olfson, 60, a television comedy actor who became a coordinator and supervisor at the mid-Wilshire district’s Southern California Counseling Center, one of the largest in the area. Olfson traced his show business career to the early days of TV and later appeared on such shows as “Three’s Company,” “Happy Days,” “The Nancy Walker Show” and many more. As he aged, he recalled how therapy had helped him overcome youthful depression and decided to pull back from acting and into counseling. He started as a volunteer at the center on Pico Boulevard and at his death was in charge of the program that helped train other lay counselors. On Tuesday in Los Angeles after a heart attack.
