Clark’s 14 Points Lead Trojans to Easy Win Over Arizona State

Kristin Clark scored 14 points to help USC defeat Arizona State, 68-55, in the Pacific 10 Conference women’s basketball opener for both teams Friday before 580 at the Lyon Center.

Clark was among three Trojans who scored in double figures. Tashara Carter and Kiyoko Miller each scored 12 and Miller contributed five assists.

USC (6-4) led by only two at halftime, 29-27, but went up by 10 with 16:38 remaining in the game.

The Sun Devils (4-6) were led by Rachel Holt, who had 17 points.

USC outrebounded the Sun Devils, 39-29.

“The team has really struggled rebounding,” USC Coach Chris Gobrecht said. “So to come out in the second half and dominate on the boards is huge.”
