The Dallas Stars were hot but Ottawa Senator goaltender Damian Rhodes was hotter.

Rhodes stopped 34 shots for his third shutout of the season and Chris Murray broke up a scoreless game midway through the third period as the Senators ended the Stars’ 10-game unbeaten streak with a 2-0 victory Wednesday night at Dallas.

Dallas was 7-0-3 over its previous 10 games and fell two games short of matching the franchise record for longest unbeaten streak set in the 1981-82 season.

New Jersey 3, Pittsburgh 1--Martin Brodeur registered his NHL-leading 25th victory to lead the Devils at East Rutherford, N.J.
