Irvine’s defense disrupted Boise State on Thursday, holding the Broncos to 40% shooting. The Anteaters also shot a season-high 62%. Irvine played its second game without starting guard Malachi Edmond, who has a sprained left foot. Andrew Carlson, a 6-foot-10 sophomore, was cleared to play Wednesday after sitting out five weeks because of broken hand.
