Authorities Saturday identified the Pico-Union mother killed Friday in gang cross-fire outside her home as Esmeralda Rodriguez, 56.

Officials earlier said the woman’s son was among those targeted in the 4 p.m. Friday attack near 15th Street and Magnolia Avenue.

In other incidents, three Southern California peace officers were recovering from wounds suffered in a spate of unrelated shootings the last several days.

Maywood reserve Officer Richard Elizondo Sr., 34, shot in the garage of his Pico Rivera home Thursday night along with his 15-year-old son, remained in extremely critical condition; Richard Jr. was listed in critical but stable condition.

Police have no suspects in the case and are “aggressively seeking help from the public,” said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Michael Irving.

Sheriff’s Deputy Carlos Ponce, 43, who was shot Thursday when he tried to avert a robbery in a La Mirada flower shop, was in guarded condition in the intensive care unit at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange.

And Officer Donald Boon, 32, of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division, remained in stable condition with multiple bullet fragments in his left hip, said LAPD spokesman Mike Partain.

Boon and his partner, Manuel Solis, 24, were shot Thursday when they responded to a domestic dispute in Lake View Terrace. Solis was treated for superficial wounds and released.

Reynaldo Rivera, the man arrested for allegedly shooting Boon and Solis, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder of a police officer and held without bail at the Van Nuys Jail. He is expected to be arraigned Tuesday.
