Foothill 2, Villa Park 1--Natasha El-Jurdi scored the winning goal midway through the second half. She also scored the first goal eight minutes into the game off an assist from Shannon Harrelson. Sara Bynon tied the score midway through the first half. Foothill is 7-5-3, 3-1; Villa Park is 9-8, 2-2.

In the Orange League:

Valencia 4, Anaheim 1--Katie Eatherton scored two goals to lead Valencia (11-2-3, 3-0). Lauren Jacobs and Alejandra Nunez each scored for the Tigers. Anaheim is 4-6-4, 1-1-1.

In the South Coast League:

No. 1 Capistrano Valley 4, San Clemente 1--Lindsay Greco scored twice to lead the Cougars (16-0-2, 3-0).

No. 3 Mission Viejo 4, Dana Hills 0--Goalkeeper Hannah Cochrun recorded her 11th shutout for Mission Viejo (13-3-1, 4-0).

No. 6 Mater Dei 1, Trabuco Hills 1--Alison Fennell’s goal 38 minutes into the game gave Mater Dei a 1-0 lead at halftime. Mandy Melendez tied the score with seven minutes remaining for Trabuco Hills (5-9-2, 0-3-1). Goalkeeper Rachael Slocum-Johnson had six saves for the Monarchs (9-2-2, 0-2-1).

In Academy League boys’ soccer:

Capistrano Valley Christian 2, Fairmont 0--Brian Morabito and John Munsell scored goals for Capistrano Valley Christian (6-6, 3-0), which produced its third consecutive shutout.

In Century League girls’ water polo:

Foothill 8, El Modena 4--Teresa Gorbett scored two of her four goals in the third quarter, when Foothill (10-5, 2-0) outscored visiting El Modena, 4-0, to take an 8-2 lead.

In the Orange League:

Brea Olinda 9, Valencia 5--Brea Olinda came back in the second half to score seven goals to overtake visiting Valencia. Jennifer Nelson had five goals for the Ladycats (4-7, 2-1) and Jeniece Ewald recorded 13 saves.

In nonleague wrestling:

Saddleback 39, Costa Mesa 30--Art Rea of Saddleback won the 152-pound match, beating Jimmy Gonzales, 15-2. At 103 pounds, Anna Wine pinned her opponent in 1 minute 48 seconds. The Roadrunners are 11-8.
