ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

CorVel Corp.: The Irvine provider of managed care services reported third-quarter net income of $2.4 million, or 56 cents a share, a gain of 9% from $2.2 million, or 46 cents a share, for the same period a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 increased 17% to $35.6 million from $30.4 million. For the first nine months, net income rose 13% to $7.1 million, or $1.63 a share, from $6.3 million, or $1.33 a share, for the first three quarters of the prior fiscal year. Revenue was up 16% to $104.3 million from $90 million.
