A curious picture in L’Equipe shows English midfielder Darren Anderton bending over toward the field during England’s game against Argentina Tuesday, apparently to pull out a blade of grass. Or maybe to plant his tee before getting his putter ready, L’Equipe suggested.

Nope, It was to recover a contact lens that had popped out. And he found it, so not everything was lost for England Tuesday.
