Sen. Boxer Seeking Debates
As Sen. Barbara Boxer’s campaign manager, imagine my surprise to learn from Ken Khachigian’s June 7 column that Boxer might “dodge debates” during her reelection campaign this year.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Just two days after the primary, Boxer wrote to [Republican candidate] Matt Fong asking him to join her in debates in the months ahead. So far, no response from Matt Fong or the Fong campaign. If anyone is dodging debates, it isn’t Boxer.
