Woman Stabbed in Her Home by Intruder
A man sneaked into a woman’s house and stabbed her several times late Thursday, police said.
The woman told authorities she was awakened by an intruder about 11:46 p.m. in her home on the 29400 block of Dry Dock Cove, Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Hector Rivera said.
The man and woman struggled, and the man stabbed her several times with an unknown instrument, Rivera said.
The 41-year-old woman was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo. Her injuries were not life threatening, he said.
There was no sign of forced entry and the attacker did not attempt to rape the woman, Rivera said. Police did not know if the man stole any property.
