Anaheim City Council

* GRANT APPLICATION: The council will consider seeking a grant worth more than $600,000 from the U.S. Department of Justice.

If awarded, the money would help the Police Department equip patrol officers with mobile computers.

Officials said the computers would help officers spend more time on their patrols and allow quicker responses to service calls.
