My Favorite Weekend

Nancy Sinatra, whose CD “For My Dad” is in stores now. (Proceeds from its sales will support the Frank Sinatra Foundation.)

A Night Out: I love to go to Nate n’ Al’s in Beverly Hills--the best deli in the Western world with lean corned beef and corn rye like no other. I also like Casa Vega in the Valley on Ventura. They have great margaritas and mini tostada salads.

These Wheels Were Made for Spinning: I have a love-hate relationship with my Schwinn spin bike. I like to spin to Peggy Lee’s “Latin a la Lee!” I can go for at least the length of the album, and the rhythm really makes me get into it.

Sweet Tooth: I like to walk into Beverly Hills on Saturdays and do light errands. I love going to Edelweiss Chocolates on Canon Drive. My dad’s favorites were maple creams. I like toffee, but I have to stay away or I will be as big as a house.

Saturday Night Specials: One of my favorite hangouts is Trader Vic’s. They have the greatest egg rolls. If I’ve been really good, I might go to Georgia on Melrose for fried chicken and catfish.

Walking the Beat: After dinner, I like to go to Tower Records on Sunset and look at my section of music to see if they have all my stuff. I also go to my dad’s section to police it for bootlegs. I feel like a cop! Sometimes I buy the bootlegs and take them to the lawyer.

Paper Route: Sunday mornings, I read the newspaper carefully for about an hour. In the TV guide, I circle the movies I want to tape all week. I try to watch the Rev. Robert Schuller’s program from the Crystal Cathedral on TV. He gives me a lift. Then, I might do Pilates on my total gym.

Family Time: If my daughter, Amanda, is here, we go to Sunday brunch at Hamburger Hamlet. They have fabulous pancakes that taste almost like crepes. If we have a special occasion, we may go to Farmer’s Market for Patsy’s Pizza. Sunday evenings I get on the Internet, go to https://www.sinatrafamily.com, and work on our Web site.
