Toshiba Names Successors to Departing Division Chief

Toshiba America Information Systems Inc. on Wednesday named two executives to replace Brian Merriman, who is leaving the company after four years as head of its Electronic Imaging division in Irvine.

Richard Taylor was named vice president and general manager of the unit. Dennis Eversole was appointed acting group executive of Toshiba’s Electronic Imaging Group and chief executive of TOPAC, the company’s network of copier and fax dealers. He also is a senior vice president for Toshiba America Information Systems.

The company did not say why Merriman is departing. On his watch, the division earned the prestigious Business Technology Assn.’s Copier and Fax Manufacturer of the Year award for three consecutive years.

Taylor has been with the division since 1995, previously serving as vice president of marketing. Eversole is a 15-year Toshiba veteran.
