Zodiac goalkeeper Mike Littman returned from a two-game benching by Coach Mike Gartlan only to lose as the Zodiac were defeated, 3-2, in a shootout by Long Island, in an A-League game Saturday night at Hofstra Stadium in Uniondale, N.Y.

Gartlan had benched Littman and two other starters to shake things up. Littman had three saves in the game but gave up four consecutive shootout goals.

Steve Patterson scored both goals for the Zodiac (12-9). He scored the first goal of the game in the 16th minute from 35 yards.
