Stage Is Set for ‘Gypsy’ Production

A summer production of the musical “Gypsy” continues this week, presented by the South Orange County School of the Arts at Dana Hills High School.

Directed by Robb Rigg, the musical tells the story of a woman who is determined to see her two daughters succeed in show business. It is set in the 1920s as vaudeville fades and burlesque gains popularity.

The production features musical direction by E.J. Stanton, choreography by Dana DiAmore, technical direction by Jeff Stube and stage management by Alyssa Rigg.

Shows are today through Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the Porthole Theatre at Dana Hills High School, 33333 Street of the Golden Lantern. Tickets are $7.
