As part of AMC’s sixth annual Film Preservation Festival, “Cinema Combat” is a two-hour retrospective of the last century of war--from Thomas Edison’s footage of American soldiers preparing for the Spanish-American War in 1894 to 1996’s “Courage Under Fire,” a film about the Persian Gulf War.

“Cinema Combat,” 4:30 and 9 p.m., American Movie Classics. “All Quiet on the Western Front” follows at 6:30 and 11 p.m.

Green Day has an unlikely mellow acoustic hit in “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life”), which got a boost after it was used recently on “ER” and the “Seinfeld” finale, but the boys will probably punk it up on tonight’s live cyber concert.
