Red Cross Conducting Class on Water Safety
To further its goal of eliminating child drownings, the Orange County Red Cross is offering a community water safety class next week.
The class emphasizes mixing responsibility with fun and features first-aid and safety tips for the boat, beach and pool.
It also warns of household dangers, such as buckets and bathtubs, and gives guidelines about assisting during an emergency.
The class will run from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Thursday at the local Red Cross office, 600 N. Parkcenter Drive, Santa Ana. The class fee is $35 per person or $50 per couple.
Registration: (714) 835-5381, Ext. 100.
