Victims of Apparent Murder-Suicide Found
The bodies of an elderly couple, apparently victims of a murder-suicide, were discovered at their home in an unincorporated area near Whittier, authorities said Thursday.
Sheriff’s detectives believe that Paul Russo, 87, shot his wife, Petrina Russo, 93, and then turned the gun on himself at their apartment in the 14000 block of Dicky Street, authorities said.
The bodies were found Wednesday by the apartment’s manager, who decided to check on the couple because they had not been seen recently. Authorities did not know how long the couple had been dead.
