The two men arrested in connection with a bank robbery Thursday have been identified as Las Vegas residents suspected in five previous heists in California and Oregon, including one at the same bank a month earlier, Anaheim police said.

After the 5 p.m. robbery at Fullerton Savings Bank in the 2300 block of East Lincoln Avenue, witnesses directed police to a nearby home where they said the robbers had fled.

There, officers found and arrested Donald R. Kendrick, 46, and Russell E. Barney, 35, on suspicion of bank robbery, police said. Investigators believe the men robbed the same Fullerton Savings branch last month, and the two men are suspected in other robberies in Anaheim, Riverside County and Oregon.

Kendrick has already served federal prison time for robbing banks, including one in Anaheim, police said. Both men are now in federal custody, and the FBI is investigating the case with Anaheim police.

Officers recovered the gun and money from Thursday’s robbery at the home where the men were hiding, police said.
