Clinton to Nominate 3 for Ambassadorships

WASHINGTON — President Clinton said he will nominate three career diplomats to ambassadorial posts in Georgia, Latvia and Turkmenistan.
Kenneth Spence Yalowitz of Reston, Va., a career diplomat, was named to be ambassador to the Republic of Georgia. James Howard Holmes of Springfield, Va., was selected for the post in Latvia. Holmes is the State Department’s coordinator for Eastern European assistance. Steven Robert Mann of Philadelphia, a career diplomat, was picked to be ambassador to Turkmenistan.
All three must be confirmed by the Senate.
