Sellz Does Double Duty for Valley Chatsworth
Scott Sellz pitched a six-hitter, had two hits and drove in two runs to help Valley Chatsworth defeat Calabasas, 13-3, in an American Legion District 20 baseball game at Chatsworth High on Wednesday.
Sellz (1-0) struck out five and walked two in the game that was called after six innings because of the 10-run rule.
Greg Wallis had two hits and four runs batted in for Valley Chatsworth (4-0). Matt Fisher, Chad Redfern, Charles Kenny and Loren Devries each had two hits for Valley Chatsworth.
Fisher and Kenny each had two RBIs.

Van Nuys Birmingham 9, Van Nuys 4--Patrick Roark had two hits and four RBIs for Van Nuys Birmingham (6-4) at Birmingham High.
Roark hit a three-run double in the fifth that gave Van Nuys Birmingham an 8-3 lead.
Isidro Villarreal had two hits and two RBIs for Van Nuys Birmingham.
Jose Jimenez had two hits and one RBI for Van Nuys.
Paraclete 5, Lancaster 0--Shane Canal pitched a three-hitter and had two hits and an RBI for Paraclete at Paraclete High.
Canal struck out seven, walked three and hit one batter.
Encino Crespi 4, Panorama City 2--Marshall Plouffe (3-0) scattered 10 hits, struck out six, walked one and gave up no earned runs for Encino Crespi at Monroe High.
Encino Crespi (8-0) scored three unearned runs in the first and scored in the sixth on Matt Wilson’s RBI single.
Ryan Ennis pitched a four-hitter, struck out five and walked five for Panorama City. He gave up one earned run.
Adam Kaplan had three hits and Damien Ritter had two for Panorama City. They each scored a run.
