The Laguna Beach City Council voted Tuesday to give $100,000 to the Laguna Art Museum, $25,000 more than the city gave the museum last year. The bulk of the funds are to be used to improve a temperature and humidity control system the museum operates to protect artworks. Money also will be used to pay an education coordinator the institution plans to hire soon, a spokeswoman said. Last year’s city allotment was the largest in the 80-year-old museum’s history.

Ska, swing and rock bands Ozomatli, the Swingtips and 22 Jacks will give live studio performances Saturday on this week’s edition Ska Parade on KUCI radio (FM 88.9). The noon-to-2 p.m. program is in celebration of the radio show’s 400th episode.
