Heathrow to London in 15 Minutes
Heathrow Airport to downtown London in just 15 minutes?
That’s all it takes on the new Heathrow Express, says the BAA (formerly British Airports Authority), which launches the train Tuesday. It leaves Heathrow every 15 minutes between 5:02 a.m. and 11:47 p.m., direct to Paddington Station. On return, many passengers can check in their luggage at Paddington rather than the airport, depending on the airline.
One-way adult fare is about $18 for coach and $35 for first class (which has wider seats, more room and work tables)--a lot more than the subway (about $6, 45 to 50 minutes to Piccadilly Station) but cheaper than cab fare.
