HE’S EXPERIENCED

When South Korea’s coach, Bum Kun Cha, was fired after his team had lost to Argentina and the Netherlands, assistant Pyong Sok Kim was given temporary charge of the squad.

Kim’s only experience as a head coach was with the Incheon Steel Company women’s team, but don’t take that as an indicator he doesn’t know the game.

He was the defender assigned to guard Diego Maradona when South Korea played Argentina at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
