Man Crossing Street Killed by Car
A 70-year-old Woodland Hills man died Sunday after being struck by a car as he tried to cross Sherman Way, police said.
The victim, whose name was held pending notification of family members, was attempting to cross Sherman Way, just east of Louise Avenue, outside of the crosswalk, according to Los Angeles police. He was struck about 11:45 a.m. by a car driven by Juan Rodriguez, 47, of Van Nuys, police said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rodriguez was not cited in the accident, which will be investigated by LAPD Valley Traffic Division detectives.
