Snowboard Charges

Patrick Jenks, 23, of Glendale and Claudio Maluje, 28, of North Hollywood were charged Monday with one misdemeanor count of riding their snowboards in an out-of-bounds area of Angeles National Forest. Prosecutors will seek restitution from the men for their Feb. 22 rescue, which involved 40 searchers and allegedly cost more than $7,500.
