In another men’s game:

Compton 83, Irvine Valley 62--Visiting Irvine Valley lost in the second round for the second consecutive season.

In women’s playoff games:

Fullerton 93, Chaffey 77--Fullerton never trailed in the second-round game. Cheranny Lindsay scored a career-high 19 points, making all four shots from three-point range and going six for six from the field for the Hornets (26-8), who advance to play at Pasadena at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Orange Coast 76, Allan Hancock 57--Orange Coast got 30 points and eight rebounds from Jennifer Ludwicki and made 48% of its field goals in the first half to advance to Saturday’s 7 p.m. regional final against College of the Canyons.

In nonconference baseball:

Saddleback 8, Victor Valley 1--Lars Birkeland had two hits and drove in four runs and Jason Marian singled, doubled and tripled for Saddleback (12-3).

In Orange Empire Conference golf:

Saddleback 393, Orange Coast 418, Cypress 439--Saddleback’s Dave Trovato was the medalist with a two-over-par 74, at Tijeras Creek.

In Orange Empire Conference softball:

Cypress 3, Fullerton 1--Mandy Rockwell (6-2) pitched a six-hitter as Cypress remained undefeated in conference. Jacqueline Killian had two hits and a run for the Chargers (12-4, 4-0).

Saddleback 5, Golden West 2--Jennifer Odum drove in three runs and Nikki Nunes had three hits for Saddleback (10-2, 3-1). Tara Kroener (8-0) struck out six and walked two for the Gauchos.

Santa Ana 4, Irvine Valley 2 (10 innings)--Santa Ana scored two runs with two outs in the 10th inning on a throwing error, Irvine Valley’s sixth error of the game.

In nonconference women’s tennis:

Grossmont 6, Orange Coast 3--Lisa Cohn swept at No. 4 singles for Orange Coast, 6-0, 6-3, but the Pirates (4-2-1, 3-1) had to forfeit two matches.

In Orange Empire Conference men’s volleyball:

Orange Coast 3, Irvine Valley 0--Josh Richardson had a match-high 21 kills for visiting Orange Coast (8-1, 4-1), which won, 15-9, 15-5, 16-14. Donald Chen paced Irvine Valley (7-5, 2-3) with 15 kills.
