NAPA--It’s the season for mustard in Napa Valley. The fifth annual Napa Valley Mustard Festival’s Marketplace, Saturday and next Sunday will feature mustards from around the world, gourmet food products, wine, craft brews, cooking demonstrations and hands-on art projects for children. 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Napa Valley Exposition, 575 3rd St. $7, $2 children under 12. SOLVANG--The sixth annual Taste of Solvang, March 20-22, promises to be a broadening affair. Taste shops stocked with meatballs, pastries, Danish pancakes and more will be set up. There will also be carriage rides, beer gardens, wine tastings and children’s activities. 7-9 p.m. March 20, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. March 21, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 22. 1511 Mission Drive. $40 weekend pass includes opening dessert reception 7-9 p.m. Friday. $25 for one-day pass. PASO ROBLES--The sixth annual Paderewski Festival, March 20-22, pays tribute to the late pianist, composer and Polish statesman Ignace Jan Paderewski, who once had a ranch in the Paso Robles area. SANTA BARBARA--The orchids are back in town for Santa Barbara’s 53rd International Orchid Show, March 20-22. One of the largest horticultural events in the world, the festival includes more than half an acre of wall-to-wall orchid blooms of all varieties. Food is also available. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. March 20, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. March 21, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., March 22. BORREGO SPRINGS--Fine art by 50 artists will be displayed in the Borrego Springs Circle of Art Show and Sale, March 28-29.
