Group Offers Campuses Free Trees for Arbor Day

Anaheim schools looking to add some green to their campuses for Arbor Day can apply for free trees.

ReLeaf Anaheim is offering 15-gallon trees to schools for planting on school grounds or on parkways around school property.

Each tree will come with information about Arbor Day and folklore, planting instructions and care and teachers' supplies.

Arbor Day will be celebrated April 25.

ReLeaf Anaheim received a grant from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection to provide the trees to schools and is working in partnership with the city's Community Services Department.

ReLeaf Anaheim is a nonprofit group dedicated to planting, preserving, promoting and protecting trees.

Seedlings will also be available to schools.
