Latina Group Schedules Workshops on Self-Improvement
Los Angeles County Supervisor Yvonne Brathwaite Burke has teamed up with the Los Angeles County Board of Education and several community organizations to form a six-week program in Lennox aimed at providing the community with educational and cultural opportunities.
The Accion Latina Neighborhood College, which began last week, will offer free workshops over the next five Saturdays that are designed to give residents assistance in improving their lives. Workshop topics include legal issues, law enforcement, cultural awareness, family services and education.
The workshops will be held on the next five Saturdays at Lennox Middle School at 11033 S. Buford Ave.
