City’s Growth Plans Topic of Latino Forum
The city’s plans to expand into more than 11,000 acres of surrounding countryside is the focus of a forum today aimed at the city’s large Latino community.
The meeting organized by The Latino Town Hall, an advocacy group, will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Santa Paula Knights of Columbus Hall, 136 S. Ojai St.
Members of the city’s planning staff, including Planning Director Joan Kus, will speak.
The expansion is proposed as part of an update of Santa Paula’s General Plan, the city’s blueprint for growth.
The city is scheduled to consider approving the plan next month.
