Volunteers Sought for YMCA Programs

Share

Adult volunteers are needed for programs at the Conejo Valley YMCA.

Two new programs are scheduled to start within the next few months, said local YMCA spokeswoman Diane Rumbaugh.

The first is the “Club Y On Campus” after-school program, to be run on intermediate school campuses in the Conejo Valley.

The second program will take place at the Conejo Valley YMCA, 4031 Moorpark Road, and will teach students in grades six through 12 about volunteerism, she said.

There are also several teen YMCA programs currently underway that need additional adult volunteers.

They include the Teen Leaders Club, a program for intermediate and high school students that meets each Sunday; the Teen Summiteers Club for students in grades eight through 12 who enjoy outdoor activities; and the Youth in Government Club for grades 10 through 12.

The Conejo Valley YMCA serves children and teens in Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park and Moorpark.
