Baby Items Sought for Child Abuse Center

Premier Health Care is soliciting baby necessities as part of a drive to collect goods for the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center in Costa Mesa.

Donations benefit parents struggling with poverty, homelessness and drug abuse. Donations can ease parental hardships and help prevent abuse, organizers said.

Sleepers, diapers, bibs, bottles, clothing for children up to 3 years old are among the items needed most. Checks should be made payable to the nonprofit Exchange Club of San Clemente.

Items can be taken to Premier Health Care's office at 150 Avenida Cabrillo in San Clemente from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The deadline is April 10.

The Child Abuse Prevention Center also will accept donations--any time of the year--from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at 2482 Newport Blvd., Suite 7, Costa Mesa.
